Refreshment of the other hotels in the Travelodge portfolio is planned for 2015/16.
The refresh program will offer enhanced guest room design and amenity, lobbies and cafes, Wifi and breakfast offerings. It also includes a new customer booking experience, with guests encouraged to go online for direct reservations at tfehotels.com, with no booking fees, the best rate guaranteed, value-added benefits and earned incentives.
In addition to the refresh program, construction is planned to commence on an additional 54 rooms at Travelodge Bankstown including the upgrade of the existing hotel rooms and lobby. A new 209 room Travelodge Mascot is also under construction and due to open in late 2015. It will have 800 car spaces and be conveniently located just 500m from the airport.
TFE Hotels CEO, Rachel Argaman said the hotel owners’ investment in the Travelodge refresh program reinforces TFE Hotel’s confidence in the local market and what the brand represents to Australian and overseas travellers.
"Location, comfort and value, friendly teams and outstanding service are the key attributes of Travelodge Hotels. They have some of the best addresses in six capital cities and are perfect for both the business and leisure traveller,” she said.
"Our guests often tell us that they stay at Travelodge Hotels because they always feel welcomed and reassured. They know they can expect unbeatable value, comfortable well-appointed rooms and a friendly, helpful welcome wherever they travel. Now their experience will be further enhanced as a result of the refresh program," she added.
"We listened to our customers and also noted overseas trends where astute travellers are choosing hotels that meet their specific needs. Our guests have the option of choosing a well-located Travelodge which meets their requirements of a comfortable bed, modern amenities, value-for-money and a friendly welcoming team," Ms Argaman added.
